Under 18 2009 Inter-County Report
Congratulations to our Under-18 Inter-County Boys team who came first over the weekend 4th-5th July. The team was
Lee Waterman, Miles Corney, Liam Raybould, Matt Forsyth,
Ed Kingham, Dan Rixon & Grant Rayment.

Under 14s Training The Essex Under 14s teams embarked on a team-building exercise in the Laser Quest at Basildon . The Under 14s are the
bowlers first experience of Inter County competitions and often they have never met. Playing laser quest as a team is a good
ice-breaker and gets them talking to each other afterwards about the experience. The two team coaches, Graham and Leeroy, are
always puzzled by the number of hits they get from their own teams!! This followed a two hour session on
the lanes where they were able to practice bowling at spares set up by the coaches. This is a valuable opportunity which is
available at Basildon and helps the bowlers concentrate on their spares. There is more training at Maldon
with the Inter-County Competition being held at Nuneaton on 11th October.

Congratulations to the two Under 14 teams in their 2009 Inter-County Finals in Nuneaton. The boys finished top and won
the Glen Richardson Memorial Trophy, the girls were just edged out of the bronze medal place by a few pins click
