Essex County Tenpin Association, E.C.T.A., is the organisation representing all tenpin bowlers in our County. We provide help and advice with setting up and running leagues and tournaments and advice on issues relating to BTBA rules and membership.

It has previously been difficult to pass information onto bowlers due to the large number of centres within our region, so we have decided to create this website to interact with more of our members. This, hopefully, will be a two way process with us letting you know of upcoming events or news items and for you, the bowlers, to let us know what you would like to see on this site and giving us news information that we can include on it. It will also give you a chance to ask questions of the committee, but please remember we are all volunteers and have other occupations and may not answer your questions straight away, but will attempt to do so as soon as possible.

Our Committee is made up of bowlers who have been elected to serve the County and the National Organisation. Currently there are 11 committee members, which includes 5 Executive Committee members. We have sub-committees representing Junior Bowling, Young Adults (18-24 years), Adults and Seniors. We also have a Legal Executive who deals with any questions regarding BTBA rules. A list of these representatives can be found alongside, and a list of bowling centres in our County.
